“I'm an artist and maker based in London, specialising in textiles, sculpture and drawing. Inspired by everyday relationships and driven by emotions, my work is an exploration of colour, form and mark making using different materials and processes. It is a way in to question our relationship to the world of aesthetics, people and objects.
Designed with versatility in mind, my dreamy objects are multi functional and the perfect sweet touch to cosy up any home. I take a slow design approach to my practice, valuing individuality in my pieces. It’s important for each design to be unique from the rest of its family, in order to give it character and feel rare. I strive to create objects that are comforting and nourishing for the mind and soul. Immerse yourself in these soft colourful islands and let your imagination run wild.

런던을 기반으로 활동하는 세바스찬 소찬은 미술과 디자인을 구분하는 미묘한 경계사이에서 몽환적인 인테리어 오브제와 조각품을 만듭니다. 파스텔 꼬불꼬불한 선들과 휘어진 추상적인 형태들을 통해 러그와 북엔드, 촛대 등을 디자인합니다. 배드말론과 세바스찬 소한은 우리만의 독특한 스타일을 모두 아우르는 러그 컬렉션을 만들고 싶었습니다. 세바스찬은 영국과 한국에서의 휴가를 떠올리며 두 문화와 도시에서 영감을 얻었습니다. 런던의 브루탈리즘 건축, 서울에서 가본 카페, 커피, 달고나 같은 과자, 제주도에서의 영감을 떠올리며 그가 가지고 있는 자유로운 형태 안에서 배드말론의 컬러 파레트를 더해 그의 이전작업과는 다른 새로운 색감의 러그를 디자인했습니다. 고양이를 키우고 있는 세바스찬은 러그 디자인이 반려동물의 털과 닮게 만들고 싶었고 브라운과 그레이, 크림색 그리고 제주 감귤처럼 톡톡 튀는 오렌지 색의 조합이 추상적인 강아지처럼 보이게도 합니다.
